SharePoint 2013 Preview–Central Administration

In the previous post, I blogged about the installation process. Now, lets look at the changes in SharePoint 2013 Preview.

Central admin main screen has few changes:
No Web Analytics reports under Monitoring
New Group called Apps for managing and monitoring apps

Under Application Management, everything seems to be same.

Under System Settings, everything seems to be same

Under Monitoring, the following one’s have been removed:
Review Information Management Policy Usage reports
View Web analytics reports

Under backup and restore,  everything seems to be same
CentralAdmin5

Under security, everything seems to be same
CentralAdmin6

Under Upgrade and migration, everything seems to be same
CentralAdmin7

Under general application settings:
Site Directory has been removed
Reporting Services has been removed (unless I missed something during the install)

Apps is completely new in SharePoint 2013. Will discuss more in detail in the next few blog posts.

The last screen seems to be exactly the same.
